Make use of BAFA services: Modernize systems with state funding
Whether in the chemical-pharmaceutical sector, in the food and process industry or in the automotive sector: anyone operating industrial plants today has to meet increasingly strict legal requirements in terms of energy efficiency, environmental protection and sustainability. The basis for this is not only the ambitious climate targets of the EU Commission, but also regulations such as the Building Energy Act (GEG) or the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) with its TA Luft and TA Lärm ordinances and the associated plant approval procedures.
With BAFA funding and Infraserv Höchst as an expert guide:
- More energy-efficient production
- Bringing building technology up to date with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Become more energy efficient – and take advantage of federal subsidies
Due to the current legal situation, many companies are faced with the situation that they have to convert various systems and their building technology from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources or convert their refrigeration and air conditioning systems to climate-neutral refrigerants. This may require enormous investments, but in many cases it is possible to take advantage of government subsidies.
New EEW Directive opens up many opportunities for financial relief
The revised “Federal Funding for Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Economy” (EEW Directive), which provides funding for investments in energy-efficient technologies in several modules, has been in force since May 1, 2023. For the first time, systems for the development and utilization of deep geothermal energy are also eligible for funding.
Infraserv Höchst's experts will advise and support you, especially in the first four funding modules:
- Module 1: Cross-cutting technologies
Replacing old systems and units or acquiring new, highly energy-efficient technologies for industrial and commercial applications - Module 2: Process heat from renewable energies
Replacement of old systems and units or new acquisition of technologies for heat generation from solar systems, heat pumps, geothermal energy or biomass - Module 3: I&C, sensor technology and energy management software
Investments in software and hardware for an energy and environmental management system - Module 4: Energy and resource-related optimization of systems and processes
Investments to increase energy and resource efficiency and reduce fossil energy consumption and CO2 emissions
Example: EEW funding for a refrigeration system with a cooling capacity of 100 kW
This information is non-binding. Funding is limited to a maximum of EUR 150,000 and a maximum of 50 percent of the eligible expenditure.
The prerequisite for funding is compliance with the requirements specified in the guidelines for the funding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
